Itinerary
Day 1: TRANSFER FROM NAIROBI TO ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK. .
Depending on your arrival time, you will be welcomed by our ARC Guide who will transfer you from Nairobi from Nairobi in Kenya by private car to Arusha in Tanzania via Namanga border. On your arrival have lunch at Arusha; depart for two hours to Tarangire national Park, dinner and overnight at camp.Accommodation:Whistling Thorn Burunge Camp Maramboi CampMeal Plan: Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2: TGAME DRIVE TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO KARATU.
Darly breakfast at your lodge, at 7:00am you will start a morning game drive in Tarangire Park, your driver guide will go extra mile to offer you the best that Nature has to offer. Break for picnic lunch, as you commence again on afternoon game drives in park. The park is a home to Lion, Leopard, and Elephant, Buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed. This park is known as the park of Elephants and Baobabs trees as they are scattered everywhere in the park while the Tarangire River is the source of the living animals in the park especially during the dry season. Day 3: NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR.
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast, then cross the gate to Ngorongoro Crater Rim, spend 5 minutes at the Crater view point to view the Crater from the top, then descend into the Crater floor for a morning game drives. All the BIG FIVE Rhino Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera; others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Your will have early picnic lunch that will be served in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a Hippo pool. Day 4: TRANSFER FROM NGORONGORO TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
After early morning breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with lunch for afternoon game drives.The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, and it is recorded as the Best number one wildlife area in the world where to see great number of animals. Within its 15,000sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animal’s zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June to August, possibly to witness then crossing at Mara River, when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds. Day 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVES IN SERENGETI.
After early morning breakfast, these two days will be dedicated to Serengeti National Park by taking morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park to look for lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more? Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more?Your lunch will be served on the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitokitok swamp a Hippo pool. After lunch proceed with game viewing and late at 1600hrs ascend the crater for dinner and overnight at lodge:
Day 6: SERENGETI TO KARATU.
After early morning game drives in Serengeti, then return to lodge/camp for breakfast, and then leave Serengeti while spotting game enroute across Ngorongoro Conservation and will have lunch on the way to Karatu for dinner and overnight at your lodge. Day 7: KARATU TO ARUSHA TO KIKULETWA HOTSPRING TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT
After early morning breakfast atyour lodgein Karatu, at 0730hrs depart with picnic lunch which will be served at Kikuletwa hot spring. Approx 4hours drive from Karatu to Arusha, then approx. 2hours Arusha to Kikuletwa via a small town called Boma Ng’ombe, then take dust road and drive for about 30-40 minutes through the local villager’s farms. The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots. Blue Monkeys can often be observed in the trees, whilst the crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to a refreshing bath. Although they are called hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is not truly ‘hot’ but a little bit warm refreshing, as the water source is fed by Kilimanjaro itself.
Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro airport to have your onwards travel flight, making it end of Safari.
End of Safari
